Personal thought: don't bother watching Akikan. Instinct told me that anything that starts with ak will end up me hating the anime, and it came true.
White album - epi 1 is still quite abstract. nice storyline, great artwork.

Akikan - the anime actually brought me back to year 2000, where love + mysterious bishoujo anime = crappy drawings and near nuke like attacks. I don't recommend watching unless you are bored out of your mind.
